The following points need to be noted in the diet of renal failure: 1. Patients with renal failure need to control the intake of water. Excessive water intake may lead to edema, increased blood pressure, and even heart failure. The amount of urine plus 500ml the day before is the standard for water intake, and the water from the noodles and fruits eaten should be included. 2. Salt intake should be limited, too much salt is also likely to cause increased blood pressure, and the daily salt intake should preferably be within 3g, which is equivalent to half a beer bottle cap. 3. High potassium foods should be avoided. High blood potassium is a very important cause of death in patients with chronic kidney failure. Oranges, bananas, large red dates and other foods are rich in high potassium and must be avoided in the usual diet. All green leafy vegetables should be blanched and washed before consumption.4. To limit the intake of phosphorus. Hyperphosphatemia tends to cause the strengthening of blood vessel sclerosis. It also tends to cause itching of the skin. So for animal offal and other foods rich in phosphorus should be limited.
