How to remove a catheter

To remove the catheter, the fluid from the catheter’s balloon needs to be withdrawn before the catheter is slowly removed.
Usually the catheter has a fixed air bag to prevent prolapse. After insertion of the catheter, the air bag is filled with fluid to inflate it, thus preventing the catheter from coming out. When the catheter is removed, the fluid in the bladder is removed completely before the catheter is slowly removed.
There are two ports on the outer port of the catheter, one to connect to the urine bag, and the other port is the liquid extraction port, which requires a 10-20 ml syringe to pump the liquid in the balloon completely, after which the catheter can be removed.
The catheter should not be forcibly and violently removed, and it is best to have it done by a professional.
