What to do at home with a baby with a fever at night

Infant fever at night at home may be caused by indigestion, respiratory tract infection and other conditions, which can be dealt with by drinking more water, physical cooling and using medication. 1. Drink more water: If the baby has a fever at home at night, you can let the baby drink more water, which is helpful to reduce the fever. 2. Physical cooling: Physical cooling methods can also be used to help babies cool down, commonly used to take a warm bath, using warm water towels to wipe the forehead, armpits and other parts of the body. 3. Use of drugs: If the fever is caused by indigestion, you can also use probiotics such as bifidobacteria for infants; if it is caused by respiratory infections, you can use cephalosporin and other drugs for treatment. If the infant’s temperature exceeds 38.5 degrees, it is recommended to use antipyretic drugs such as ibuprofen. If the infant’s fever at home at night is not relieved, or accompanied by other symptoms, they should go to the hospital in time. All of the above medications should be used under doctor’s supervision, avoid self-medication.
