There is no such thing as “which acupoints are most effective for liver disease”. For liver disease, you can press Zhangmen point, Ximen point, Taichong point, etc. for relief, and if the symptoms are more serious, it is recommended to consult a doctor for standardized treatment in a timely manner. 1. Zhangmen acupoint: located in the lateral abdomen, axillary midline straight down, when the eleventh rib free end of the occasion. It is used for treating fullness and pain in the chest and ribs, abdominal distension, intestinal rumbling, vomiting, diarrhea, lumps (masses), as well as enlarged liver and spleen, and indigestion. 2. Phase Gate Acupuncture Point: Located directly below the nipple, in the sixth intercostal space. It is used for treating fullness and pain in the chest and hypochondrium, jaundice, vomiting, diarrhea, hiccups (belching), and abdominal distension. 3. Taichong Point: located in the depression in front of the union of the first and second metatarsal bones on the back of the foot. It is used for treating headache, dizziness, insomnia, epilepsy, redness and swelling of the eyes, swelling and pain of the thighs and ribs, jaundice, leakage of menstruation (excessive menstruation or dribbling), amenorrhea, stagnant labor, child’s convulsions (pediatric diseases mainly manifested by dizziness, apoplexy, and convulsions), weakness in the feet, as well as hepatitis and high blood pressure. For patients with bad liver, acupoint massage is not a substitute for medication. It is recommended that patients consult a regular hospital and receive standardized treatment under the guidance of a doctor.
