Female catheterization operation procedures include disinfection, checking items, catheterization, and fixing the catheter.
1. 3. Urinary catheterization: Separate the patient’s labia minora with one hand, align the urethral opening and insert the moistened catheter into the urethra for 4~6cm, ask the patient to take a deep breath, insert the catheter while observing whether there is yellowish urine coming out of the urinary bag, and then insert it again for 1~2cm after seeing the urine coming out.
4. Fix the catheter: after inserting the catheter, inject 10ml of saline into the catheter, and gently pull the catheter, resistance can be proved that catheterization is successful.
