What to Examine for Lupus Erythematosus

Lupus erythematosus requires laboratory tests such as routine blood tests, urine tests, antinuclear antibody profile, and other systemic tests. 1. Blood tests: Some patients with lupus erythematosus may have a decrease in red blood cells, white blood cells or platelets. 2. Urine routine: Some patients with lupus erythematosus can find kidney damage through routine urine examination, which may show abnormal increase of urine protein, urine abnormal red blood cells, and tubular urine. 3. Antinuclear antibody spectrum: If SLE is present, there may be positive antinuclear antibodies, anti-double-stranded DNA antibodies and antibodies to extractable nuclear antibody antigens. 4. Other systemic tests: Lupus erythematosus often has systemic involvement, such as the liver and kidneys, brain and lungs. According to the situation, liver and kidney function, chest CT, cranial MRI and other tests should be completed.
