What is the meaning of heat absorption

Absorption fever usually occurs within 3 days after surgery and is a sterile inflammatory condition. As a result of the surgery, there will be oozing, exudate and even shredded fat particles inside the abdominal cavity. The body will produce an increase in body temperature during the absorption process, which is usually around 38 degrees and will not exceed 38.5 degrees. If the patient’s body temperature is too high, over 39 degrees, consider that it may be caused by bacterial infection. Prompt blood tests are needed for white blood cell and neutrophil counts, and calcitoninogen values need to be checked. If it is caused by an infection, it should be treated with antibiotics.
