Does inactive tuberculosis require treatment?

Inactive tuberculosis does not require treatment because inactive tuberculosis is not infectious and does not have active lesions. It does not affect the body and therefore does not require treatment. Inactive tuberculosis is also clinically called old tuberculosis, which means that the lung tissue has had tuberculosis before. After aggressive treatment, either the TB bacilli are removed from the body through autoimmunity and the lung tissue is repaired, or cords and foci of calcification are formed in the lungs, showing obsolete changes. These inactive tuberculosis do not produce corresponding clinical symptoms and are not harmful to the body, so they do not require treatment and are in a state of absolute quiescence.
