The technique or test of brain angiography is a CTA, MRA or DSA test, not sure which test is being asked about. The cost of these three varies greatly depending on the location and the level of the hospital.CTA usually costs a few hundred dollars to about$2,000 and MRA usually costs a few hundred dollars to about$1,000. For a DSA, the cost may be more expensive, ranging from a few thousand dollars to tens of thousands of dollars. Although DSA is currently the gold standard for detecting vascular lesions, it is an invasive test that requires a puncture and cannulation of the femoral artery. If you are just going for a physical exam, you can have a CTA or MRI for vascular screening, and then have a DSA if you have a suspicious vascular lesion.
