Laser surgery for myopia usually has three steps, namely, preoperative preparation, performing the surgery, and postoperative treatment. 1. Pre-operative preparation: Before surgery, patients need to undergo appropriate eye examinations such as visual acuity, optometry, corneal topography, etc., to find out whether there are indications for the surgery and to select the appropriate surgical method. 2. Surgery: Generally, the eye is first sterilized and anesthetized, and the doctor will fix the patient’s eyes with an eye opener to keep the eyes in a continuous open state, change the patient’s corneal refractive error by laser optical keratomileusis or excimer laser subepithelial keratomileusis, and then finally carry out corneal flap repositioning and eye bandaging. 3. Postoperative treatment: Postoperative patients can use anti-infective drugs under the guidance of the doctor, such as levofloxacin eye drops, tobramycin eye drops, recombinant bovine basic fibroblast growth factor eye drops, etc., to prevent infections and promote corneal wound repair.
