Trouble with pierced ears and eyes

Xiaolin (a pseudonym) was 20 years old when she got her earrings pierced at a beauty salon 2 years ago. However, it didn’t take long for her to notice that the area around her earring eye was painful and itchy, and she developed a dark red, hard lump that grew larger and larger, seriously affecting her appearance. She had to have the swelling removed at a local hospital, but it didn’t take long for the swelling to come back. Ear piercing (ear piercing) is by far the most common and smallest cosmetic surgery, but often due to personal constitution and post-operative infections, it causes local scar growth at the earlobe and earwheel, forming dark red keloids that have a tendency to grow gradually and seriously affect the aesthetics of the ear. Especially for young girls, it can also cause psychological and mental stress. Treatment of ear keloids is based on surgical excision. Conventional surgical methods to remove keloids will inevitably cause skin defects at the earlobe and earwheel, and if local stitches are pulled together in situ, postoperative deformation of the earlobe and earwheel may be caused, affecting the aesthetics of the ear; moreover, the local tissue tension at the surgical incision increases, and the keloid is very likely to recur after surgery. Now we use auricular keloid excision + local flap transfer technology to solve this surgical problem. The local flap transfer is used to repair the local skin defect caused by keloid excision, which effectively reduces the local tissue tension, plus the application of scar growth inhibiting drugs for local injection, thus reducing the chance of keloid recurrence. The anatomical shape of the auricle was basically preserved after surgery, achieving a good cosmetic surgery result. Xiaolin is now done with her surgery and her confident smile is back on her face. We have solved the troubles of many girls and ladies who love beauty. The following pictures are two sets of pre- and post-operative photos of earlobe and earwheel keloids caused by ear piercing.
