There are many conditions that can cause tingling in the shoulder and back, the more common being cervical spondylosis, especially cervical radiculopathy. Stimulation of the nerve roots can cause tingling pain in the shoulder and back, and some patients may also experience numbness and muscle weakness in the upper limbs. In addition, if the patient suffers from fasciitis, supraspinous ligamentitis, interspinous ligamentitis or bursitis in the scapular area, the patient can stimulate the local lesion when moving around, causing pain and some patients may have clinical manifestations such as limitation of shoulder joint movement. If the patient has a long-term, chronic injury to the back of the shoulder that causes old damage to the local muscles, tingling pain can also occur.
