The main formula is 15 grams each of Astragalus, Licorice, and Ginseng, 9 grams each of Ascophyllum, Pueraria Mirificum, and 4.5 grams of Cranberry, 3 grams of Paeoniae Alba, and 3 grams of Cyperus Rotundus (made in wine and fried yellow). Since Yi Qi Smart Tang has the effects of benefiting qi and raising yang (tonifying qi so that yang qi rises), and brightening the ears and eyes, it is often used in treating deficiency of zhong qi (weak qi in the spleen and stomach), lack of rising of clear yang (light and clear yang qi unable to rise upwards), disturbances of wind-heat upwards, headache and dizziness or blurred vision, tinnitus, deafness, etc., so as to alleviate the uncomfortable symptoms and improve the quality of life. The contraindications and adverse reactions are not clear, but it is contraindicated for allergic individuals or those who are allergic to the herbal medicines in the formula. It is recommended that patients follow the doctor’s instructions for evidence-based treatment, and not to use Yiqi Smart Soup indiscriminately on their own.
