There is no treatment for scleritis to get well quickly, mainly for general treatment, drug treatment, and surgery in severe cases.
1. General treatment: should do a good job of daily care, avoid excessive rubbing the eyes with hands, keep the eyes clean, pay attention to eye hygiene, do not use the eyes too much.
2. Medication: Apply medication to reduce pain and inflammation, use immunosuppressants to treat the more serious symptoms, such as cyclophosphamide, methotrexate, etc., and use artificial tears, such as sodium vitrate eye drops.
3. Surgical treatment: if scleritis continues to worsen and necrosis or perforation occurs, timely surgical treatment should be carried out, such as scleral transplantation to remove necrotic and perforated scleral tissue.
During the treatment period, patients should not use medication by themselves, but follow the doctor’s instructions to use medication reasonably, and regularly consult the doctor for rechecking.
