Efavirenz tablets are non-nucleoside reverse transcriptase inhibitors, which are the first-line anti-HIV drugs in China, often combined with two other nucleoside reverse transcriptase inhibitors, for antiviral treatment in adults, young adults and children infected with HIV. Patients may experience nausea, vomiting, and severe dizziness at the beginning of the drug’s use, so it is recommended that patients take the drug at night before bedtime to reduce these symptoms. By taking the drug regularly, the above symptoms can be significantly reduced in some patients. If patients experience more serious adverse reactions, such as hallucinations, delirium, depression, etc., they should seek immediate medical attention and consider discontinuing efavirenz and switching to a combination of other drugs.
