Leprosy vaccine adverse reactions

Leprosy vaccine is a Group I vaccine, which is required to be given to children under the national immunization program. Measles, that is, measles and rubella. Measles is an acute respiratory infection caused by the measles virus, with clinical manifestations of fever, rash, cough, runny nose and other symptoms, and in severe cases, pneumonia, myocarditis and encephalitis. Rubella is an acute respiratory infection caused by rubella virus, with clinical manifestations of fever, rash and swollen and painful lymph nodes behind the ear, under the occiput and neck. After vaccination against measles, the body is stimulated to develop immunity against measles and rubella viruses. Children are usually given their first leprosy vaccination when they are a little over 8 months old. The vaccination is given when the baby is healthy and free of other diseases. After the vaccination, it takes time for the body to develop immunity. This time for immunity to develop is related to the number of vaccinations, the route of vaccination and the child’s physical condition. In general, it takes 3-4 weeks after the initial vaccination to develop effective immunity. During the vaccination period, because the baby’s immunity is still very low, you should pay more attention to the child, and generally the following adverse reactions often occur: 1. 24 hours after vaccination, pain and tenderness will appear at the injection site, which will generally subside on its own in 2-3 days; 2. 1-2 weeks after vaccination, fever will generally appear, and mild 1-2 days can be relieved on its own, without treatment. Drink more water, pay attention to warmth, prevent secondary infection, moderate fever or fever for more than 48 hours can be cooled by drugs; 3. 12 days after vaccination, a slight rash may appear, the rash generally does not exceed 2 days, and generally does not require special treatment. When the rash is serious or if necessary, it is recommended to go to the hospital for consultation. After the child is vaccinated, drink plenty of water and pay more attention to the observation. If the child is normal for 72 hours, then it is generally okay. If the child has an adverse reaction after vaccination, like a fever, then it is recommended that the child be given physical methods to lower the temperature first, and if that doesn’t work go to the hospital.
