What is the urodynamic test for interstitial cystitis?

Urodynamic examination can measure the function of the urinary tract in transporting and storing urine, and urodynamic examination of interstitial cystitis can help in diagnosis and differential diagnosis.
Urodynamic examination, i.e., urine dynamics measurement, is carried out with the help of fluid dynamics, i.e., electrophysiological method, which can study and measure the function of urinary tract in transporting, storing and discharging urine, and provide the basis for analyzing the cause of urinary obstruction, selecting treatment and evaluating the effect of treatment. It is commonly used to diagnose lower urinary tract obstructive diseases and neurogenic voiding function abnormalities.
Interstitial cystitis patients undergo urodynamic examination, which can find that the capacity of the bladder becomes smaller and the compliance decreases, and should be differentiated from neurogenic cystitis and other diseases.
If there is any discomfort, it is recommended to seek prompt medical attention for diagnosis and treatment.
