Ketoconazole ointment, or compound ketoconazole ointment, should be used for no more than 4 weeks in a row, and no more than 2 weeks in a row for thin skin areas, and should be used according to the doctor’s instructions.
Ketoconazole Ointment is a compound preparation consisting of ketoconazole, clobetasol propionate, ketoconazole is an antifungal drug and clobetasol propionate is a glucocorticoid drug. The drug can be used for ringworm, jock itch, tinea pedis. The drug instructions state that the product should not be used continuously for more than 4 weeks, and the thin skin areas (such as the face, groin, armpits, vulva, etc.) should not be used continuously for more than 2 weeks.
Adverse reactions can be seen as erythema, itching, burning, tingling, atrophy and thinning of the skin, folliculitis, capillary dilatation, hyperpigmentation, secondary infections, dry skin, hirsutism and so on. Systemic adverse reactions, such as hirsutism, full moon face, acne, osteoporosis, and allergic dermatitis, may occur with prolonged use of the drug, especially after transdermal absorption of glucocorticoids.
The drug is contraindicated in people who are allergic to the product, people with bacterial or viral infections, pediatrics, pregnant women, breastfeeding people. The use of the drug should be done under medical supervision.
