Are lipomas on the back dangerous?

Lipoma on the back is not harmful because it is a common benign tumor of soft tissues, which is hardly malignant and can be easily removed surgically and rarely recurs after removal. Lipomas are usually found under the skin in the shoulders, back and neck. Lipomas on the back hardly cause any symptoms except for localized lumps, and may be only one or many, ranging in size from a few millimeters to dozens of centimeters. Lipomas grow very slowly, are soft and clearly demarcated from the surrounding tissues, can be lobulated and have good mobility, and can cause indentation of the skin when moving and rarely cause pain. Small lipomas can be treated without any treatment, but if they grow too large and affect the beauty, they can be removed surgically. In short, lipomas on the back are not harmful and usually do not require special treatment, as long as regular observation is done.
