Not daring to meet people’s eyes is clinically mainly due to suffering from social phobia. Social phobia patients are afraid of social scenes or embarrassing social behaviors and activities, and once they are faced with such scenarios, they will become frazzled, afraid to meet others, and therefore have severe anxiety reactions. Patients may feel restless, dizzy, headache, difficulty in breathing, panic, rapid heartbeat, or flushed face and profuse sweating. When social phobia is clinically present or diagnosed, psychotherapy and medication are needed to achieve good results.
