How to Correct Hidden Strabismus

Hidden strabismus should be treated by a doctor after a complete examination. If there is no obvious effect, it can be observed first, but if hidden strabismus has a tendency to develop into dominant strabismus and jeopardize the visual function, timely intervention is needed to correct the condition, including wearing glasses and surgery.
For accommodative strabismus caused by refractive error, it can be corrected by wearing appropriate glasses as prescribed by the doctor after completing optometry and other examinations. If the effect of conservative treatment is unsatisfactory, and the hidden strabismus develops into dominant strabismus with stable degree, or if the visual function is jeopardized, then it is necessary to correct the strabismus through surgical procedures, including muscle augmentation and muscle weakening surgery, and so on.
For occult strabismus, it is recommended to consult a doctor for a complete examination and follow the doctor’s instructions.
