Spleen deficiency and dampness can be regulated by taking Solid Spleen Powder, Ling Gui Jiu Gan Tang, Yin Chen Si Yi Tang and so on. However, the medication should be taken under the guidance of a doctor.
1. Real Spleen San: the composition of the drug has thick park, wood, grass nuts, atractylodes, papaya, white poria and so on. It has the effect of warming yang and strengthening the spleen, promoting qi and inducing diuresis. It is used for chest and abdominal distension, obvious swelling in the lower part of the body, no thirst in the mouth, no warmth in the hands and feet, and loose stools. This formula is not suitable for Yang-shui patients.
2. Ling Gui Zhu Gan Tang: Poria, Gui Zhi, Rhizoma Atractylodis Macrocephalae and Radix et Rhizoma Glycyrrhizae. Its effects include strengthening the spleen, inducing diuresis, warming Yang and resolving fluid retention (promoting water metabolism by warming Yang qi in the body). It can be used for symptoms such as fullness in the chest and ribs, dizziness, palpitation, shortness of breath and cough, and white slippery fur on the tongue. This formula is not suitable for those who have been drinking and turning into heat.
3. Yin Chen Si Reverse Tang: This formula consists of Yin Chen, Radix et Rhizoma Glycyrrhizae, Radix et Rhizoma Glycyrrhizae, Radix et Rhizoma Ginger, Radix et Rhizoma Polygonati Odorati. It is effective in inducing dampness and eliminating jaundice, warming the interior of the body and helping the Yang. It is used for yellowing of the body and eyes, dull yellow color, lack of warmth in the hands and feet, fear of cold on the back, heaviness of the body, fatigue of the spirit (dysphoria), scanty appetite, lack of thirst, and loose stools. This formula should not be used in cases of Yang yellowness.
