A recent study identified five healthy lifestyles that can reduce the risk of colon cancer, including: a healthy weight; low abdominal fat; regular exercise; no smoking and controlled alcohol consumption; and a sensible and balanced diet (more vegetables, fruits, fish, yogurt, nuts, foods high in fiber, and less lean meat and meat products). The study included 347,000 subjects in Europe, and the 12-year follow-up data showed that 3,760 of them were diagnosed with colon cancer. The results showed that the healthier the lifestyle, the lower the risk of developing colon cancer. Subjects with two healthy lifestyles had a 13 percent lower risk of colon cancer compared to those with none or only one healthy lifestyle, and those with five healthy lifestyles had a 37 percent lower risk of colon cancer. This relationship between healthy lifestyles and colon cancer risk was found to be more pronounced in men. The data showed that 22 percent of men and 11 percent of women were protected from colon cancer if the subjects adhered to all five of these healthy lifestyles. The study encourages everyone to adopt a healthy lifestyle to make a positive contribution to cancer prevention, and the healthier the lifestyle, the lower the risk of cancer. So what should we pay attention to in terms of daily diet? 1. “Eating” should be done in moderation. Now we are going to an extreme: over-eating and over-nutrition. The traditional Chinese diet is based on grains, supplemented by meat, eggs, vegetables and fruits, which is a very healthy and reasonable diet. Chinese food has a lot of steamed way, can retain more nutrition; a small amount of meat and vegetables quick stir-fry dishes, because more vegetables, rich in crude fiber, both to meet the taste, but also to avoid the meat produced by toxic substances stay too long, to reduce the chronic damage to the intestines. 3, keep the “fresh, wild, light, mixed” 4 word trick. “Fresh” refers to eat more fresh food; “wild” refers to eat natural fruits and vegetables; “light” is less salt, less oil and less meat; “mixed ” is to eat as much food as possible, not partial food.
