Hands touching water wrinkles may be physiological phenomenon, but also may be exfoliative dermatitis, hypoproteinemia and other disease causes.
1. Physiological phenomenon: after touching water, the epidermal stratum corneum absorbs water and expands, while the connective tissue in the dermis does not absorb water and expands, resulting in a difference in volume between the two layers, thus making the skin wrinkled. This is a normal physiological phenomenon.
2. Pathologic causes:
(1) exfoliative dermatitis: when suffering from exfoliative dermatitis, the stimulation of inflammation can lead to damage to the stratum corneum of the skin in the finger area, and the symptom of wrinkled skin may appear when the hand touches water.
(2) Hypoproteinemia: Hypoproteinemia can lead to insufficient nutrients in the body, and when the hand touches water, the nutrients are not enough to support the cytoskeleton, which can lead to wrinkles.
When the hands touch water, wrinkles, after excluding physiological phenomena, need to go to the hospital in time to do the relevant examination and treatment.
