Fritillary has the effect of clearing away heat and detoxification, eliminating canker sores and pus, diuretic and diaphoretic (to improve the problem of incomplete urination and small amount of urine); honeysuckle has the effect of clearing away heat and detoxification, evacuating wind-heat and so on; and dandelion has the effect of clearing away heat and detoxification, eliminating swellings and dispersing knots and other effects and functions.
Fishweed is slightly cold in nature, can be used for lung carbuncle spitting pus, phlegm and heat cough, hot diarrhea, hot shower (burning stinging pain when urinating, with frequent urinary urgency, abdominal traction discomfort), sores (by the poisonous evil invasion, resulting in stagnation of qi and blood skin diseases) the treatment of the disease. However, the cold syndrome and yin sores and ulcers should not take fishweed.
Honeysuckle cold, can be used for laryngeal paralysis (pharyngeal redness, swelling and pain, or dryness, foreign body sensation, or pharyngeal itching, discomfort, difficulty swallowing), fever and blood dysentery (feel the dysentery caused by heat and poison, see blood in the stool), as well as wind-heat colds and other conditions of the treatment, but the spleen and stomach deficiency, cold and qi deficiency ulcers and pus clearing people should not be used.
Dandelion is cold in nature and can be used in the treatment of breast carbuncle (a purulent disease caused by redness, swelling and pain in the breasts and poor milk discharge), scrofula (mainly refers to cervical lymph node tuberculosis), redness of the eyes, sore throat, lung carbuncle, intestinal carbuncle (carbuncle occurring in the internal organs and manifesting itself by fever, pain in the right side of the abdomen, and a palpable mass), and jaundice with dampness-heat and jaundice.
The adverse effects of the above drugs are not clear. Patients are advised to seek prompt medical attention if they feel unwell. The selection and use of Chinese herbs should be under the guidance of a doctor’s diagnosis, do not use blindly without authorization, in order to prevent improper use of medication.
