The treatment of scoliosis mainly includes exercise correction, brace treatment and surgery. If the relatively small angle of scoliosis can be observed and followed up once every 4-6 months, the spinal X-ray in the standing position can be routinely performed to check the angle of scoliosis and the degree of rotation before and after comparison. For mild scoliosis, exercise correction methods can be applied to correct the scoliosis by strengthening the muscles, making the scoliosis side muscle strength more powerful, targeted to strengthen the muscle contraction on the convex side. Common exercise correction methods include swimming and hanging bar, and brace therapy can also be used. For people who are young and have a scoliosis angle of 20-40 degrees, brace therapy can be applied and worn for about 16-23 hours a day until the bones mature. If bracing is not effective, surgery is required for scoliosis angles over 40-50 degrees. Surgical orthopedics is a common and effective treatment for scoliosis, which is effective in the early stages of treatment and requires the involvement of many segments, and is relatively invasive and has more complications. The indication for surgical treatment is when the angle of scoliosis is greater than 40 degrees, consider early surgical treatment.
