The dangers of sleeping with your mouth open

Sleeping with the mouth open may result in adenoidal facies, such as malocclusion, facial changes, and may cause inflammation of the throat in the long term.
1.Adenoid face. If you sleep with your mouth open for a long time, the gas enters the lungs from the mouth and breaks the balance between the facial muscles and the teeth and jaws, and there will be narrowing of the upper jaw, lip tilting of the front teeth, narrowing of the base of the nose, and the facial aesthetics will be affected.
2. Inflammation. As the bacteria and dust in the air when breathing with the mouth open are not filtered through the nasal cavity and are directly breathed into the lungs, chronic laryngitis, bronchitis and other diseases may occur, and the body’s resistance may decline.
If you have the habit of open-mouth breathing, it is recommended to go to the hospital as soon as possible for correction.
