Upper Giant Hollow, belonging to the Foot Yangming Stomach Meridian, is located on the lateral side of the lower leg, 6 inches below the calf’s nose, on the line connecting the calf’s nose and Xiexi, with the effects of relaxing the tendons and activating the collaterals (stretching the tendons and bones, dredging the meridians and collaterals) and regulating the abdominal qi, and it is mainly used for treating conditions such as intestinal tinnitus, abdominal pain and diarrhea.
Tianshu, belonging to the Foot Yangming Stomach Meridian, is horizontal to the umbilicus and 2 inches beside the anterior midline, with the efficacy of activating blood circulation and dispersing blood stasis (promoting blood circulation and eliminating blood stasis in the body) and regulating qi and relieving pain (relieving pain by unblocking qi), and it is mainly used for the treatment of abdominal pain, constipation, and diarrhea, among other disorders.
