Early signs of infantile acromegaly

Early symptoms of infantile acromegaly include muscle weakness, myasthenia gravis, and dysphagia. Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS), also known as “tardive dyskinesia”, is a chronic, progressive degenerative disease involving upper and lower motor neurons and their innervating trunk, limbs, head and facial muscles. 1. Myasthenia gravis: infants may present with clumsy fingers and inability to grasp in the early stages of the disease. 2. Myasthenia gravis: infants’ hands, upper arms and forearms slowly develop muscle atrophy. 3. Dysphagia: infants may have difficulty swallowing water and drooling in the mouth. Acromegaly occurs more often in adults, if infants have the above symptoms, it is recommended to go to the hospital in time to improve the examination to clarify the diagnosis, and standardized treatment under the guidance of the doctor.
