Types of Buried Threads for Facial Lift

Facial buried wire lifting is becoming more and more popular, and buried wire is always a hot topic in various beauty groups, conferences, etc. in China. Compared to Botox and hyaluronic acid, which are almost spoken about, buried threads are the most talked about topic among peers. What fine facial sculpture, line sculpture and other terms can be seen everywhere, a variety of training courses, learning classes like a spring. Various line sculpture experts and masters of good and bad are active in various arenas. From one side, it shows that there is a large market for line sculpture, compared with the traditional facelift wrinkle surgery, line sculpture does have its advantages, in line with the requirements and views of modern people. To do thread sculpting, you must first understand the thread. First, here first popularize the various absorbable threads commonly used in clinical practice: 1, ordinary intestinal thread: light in color, is made of lamb intestine or bovine intestine submucosa tissue easily absorbed sutures. Absorption is fast, generally up to 70 days to complete degradation, but the tissue reaction to the intestinal thread is slightly larger. 2, chromium intestinal thread: chromium intestinal thread is very dark, this intestinal thread is made of chromic acid treatment, which can slow down the absorption rate of tissues and generally degrade within 90 days, it causes less inflammatory reaction than ordinary intestinal thread. 3, PGA thread: synthetic suture, the chemical composition of polyglycolic acid, the table in covered with inert, non-antigenic and non-pyrolytic polylactam – calcium stearate coating. It is non-toxic, biocompatible, with slight tissue reaction. The intermediate degradation product is GA (glycolic acid) and the end product is CO2 and water, which can be completely degraded and fully absorbed and metabolized in human body. The degradation time is generally 60-80 days. 4.PGLA line: It is made by copolymerization of ethylene glycol ester and propylene glycol ester in different ratios, and it is a degradable polymer polyethylene glycol ester-propylene glycol ester (PGLA), which has good biocompatibility, no tissue reaction to human body and good degradability, and the degradation products are also carbon dioxide and water. It generally degrades in 80-120 days. Clinically used Viejo sutures and fast Viejo threads both belong to PGLA copolymer, only the synthetic ratio is different. 5. PLA/PLLA (polylactic acid/poly-L-lactic acid) thread: The raw material for polylactic acid (PLA) sutures is lactic acid or a dimer of lactic acid (propylene cross-ester). PLA is a non-toxic, non-irritating, good biological, biodegradable and absorbable, high strength, plastic processing and molding polymer material. It has good compatibility with human tissues, no carcinogenic and mutagenic reactions, and can be gradually degraded to carbon dioxide and water in the body. Generally 180-240 days to degrade. 6, PPDO line: also known as polydioxanone, in the body after 180-240 days of degradation, is also degraded into CO2 and water, buried in the body to stimulate the production of collagen, so people are mistakenly called “protein line” or “collagen line”. In fact, the threads do not contain protein. Not all PDO threads can be used for lifting, many PDO threads such as smooth threads and magic threads can only be used for filling. In order to lift the sagging tissues, there must be serrations, and the serrations are bi-directional, with the saw at one end acting as an anchor and the saw at the other end “grabbing” the sagging tissues to maintain the lift. Of course, a unidirectional serrated wire can also be used for lifting, but there must be a strong anchorage point at the head after burial, which may be achieved by suturing to the deep temporal fascia, tying a knot, or by combining two unidirectional wires to form a bidirectional serrated wire. Generally speaking, there are several methods commonly used to make serrations on these lines: laser cutting, 3D printing, etc. PPDO material is a polymer with the advantages of high tensile strength, non-toxic and non-irritating, long absorption period, no residue, etc. PPDO suspension wire can be used to lift eyebrows, cheeks, jawline, breast and buttocks, with minimally invasive lifting, short recovery period, immediate effect, instantly done and so on. PPDO is a polymer of PDO (para-dioxanone), which has better tensile strength and biocompatibility. 2.Bidirectional barbs: free of knots; the angle between the barbs and the thread body is 20°, foreign products have 40° angle, the larger the angle the easier it is to slip off. The spiral distribution of the barbs is 360°, and the force is more uniform. 3, tensile strength (tear strength): PPDO line pull is quite strong, a 0 barbed wire can hang several pounds of pork. The advantage of this is that the immediate post-operative effect is amazing, the disadvantage is that the recovery period is long, and the facial recovery is more natural only after 1 month or so. The threads are too tight and easily slip off, and the effect is short-lived. I advocate a slight lift. The immediate effect depends on the tension of the thread itself, while the long-term effect depends on the fiber tissue formed under the skin. Absorbable threads have a process of softening and degradation in the body. As the threads soften, their tension strength will become less and less. A slight lift allows the threads to stimulate the tissue more fully and form a more powerful in vivo scar for a better lifting effect and longer maintenance time.
