What are loratadine tablets for?

Loratadine tablets are antihistamines, mainly used for the treatment of allergic diseases, such as common urticaria, eczema, drug rash, contact dermatitis, seborrheic dermatitis, etc. Histamine can cause capillary dilation and increased vascular permeability, resulting in skin erythema, papules, exudation, itching, etc. It can also cause contraction of smooth muscles, increased respiratory secretions, and decreased blood pressure, at which time chest tightness, shortness of breath, abdominal pain, diarrhea, laryngeal edema, and shock can occur in severe cases accordingly. Loratadine can effectively counteract these conditions. Loratadine tablets can be taken orally once a day at 10mg per dose for adults. Note that infants under two years of age should not be taken orally. Pregnant women, nursing mothers, and those with abnormal liver or kidney function need to take it under the guidance of a doctor.
