Sodium bicarbonate tablets treat stomach disorders caused by excess stomach acid. The drug is an antacid, which can rapidly neutralize stomach acid and relieve symptoms of hyperacidity or heartburn when taken orally. So clinically the drug is used to relieve stomach pain, heartburn sensation (heartburn) and acid reflux caused by excessive stomach acid. The drug may cause belching, edema, increased blood pressure, alkalosis and other adverse reactions. It is contraindicated in those who are allergic to any of the ingredients in this product; in those who are using urotropin; and in patients with restricted sodium intake (e.g., hypernatremia, hypertension in pregnancy, etc.). It is not suitable for those who have appendicitis or similar symptoms without confirmed diagnosis and those with unknown cause of gastrointestinal bleeding; it should be used with caution for those with hepatic, renal, cardiac and pulmonary insufficiency; it should be used with caution for patients with high blood pressure, patients with severe peptic ulcers, patients with electrolyte abnormality such as hypochloremic alkalosis.
