Methods of screening for HPV

The main method to check HPV is to do HPV testing through cervical secretions. there are currently two methods of HPV testing, namely non-typical testing and typing testing, as follows: 1. non-typical testing: to detect the amount of HPV virus; 2. typing testing: to check which type of HPV infection is present. HPV testing is used to determine the efficacy of the vaccine and to understand whether there are other types of HPV infections, and currently The HPV test is not recommended for use alone, but needs to be used in conjunction with liquid-based cytology testing of the cervix to be more meaningful, that is, HPV testing and TCT should be done at the same time to be more meaningful. If TCT reveals atypical squamous cells, HPV testing is necessary. HPV reveals high risk infection and TCT has atypical squamous cells, then cervical biopsy must be done under colposcopy to clarify if there is a cervical lesion.
