External strabismus of the eyes includes many types, different types of external strabismus of the eyes have different treatment methods, but mostly based on surgical methods. 1. Intermittent exotropia: the treatment is based on surgical treatment, the timing of surgery should be mastered before the visual function of both eyes is impaired, delayed surgery can be chosen under the condition of normal stereoscopic vision in close follow-up, the collection training may have a temporary effect, but it can’t completely correct the eye position. 2. Constant exotropia (1) Congenital exotropia: If the onset of large-angle exotropia occurs within 6 months of birth, the treatment is surgical. (2) Perceptual esotropia: If the esotropia is caused by primary perceptual defects with monocular visual impairment, the treatment is mainly surgical. (3) Secondary exotropia: If the exotropia is secondary to surgical correction of the eye position in internal strabismus, the treatment is mainly surgical, and in most cases the 2nd surgery is to explore and reset the muscles of the apostle after the previous surgery. (4) Movable eye nerve paralysis: neurotrophic drugs can be used first and observed for 6~12 months, if the strabismus is still present, surgical treatment should be performed. Surgical treatment for esotropia is mainly to change the starting point and stopping point of extraocular muscles as a way to achieve the effect of adjusting the eye position. If strabismus occurs, consult a clinician for correction as soon as possible.
