What is itching in the male urethra?

Urethral itching is mainly caused by inflammation of the urethra, inappropriate sexual practices, and poor hygiene. These factors can cause irritation of the mucous membrane of the urethra with itchy discomfort. The most common cause of UTIs is sexually transmitted infections. UTIs can also be caused by bacteria that are usually transmitted to the male penis during unprotected sex. These bacteria then cause inflammation of the patient’s urethra. When a UTI occurs, the inflammatory process causes the release of inflammatory mediators, and these substances are direct irritants that cause itching and discomfort. A very small percentage of UTIs may be caused by excessive friction during masturbation or sexual intercourse or by an allergic reaction to soap or detergents. An immune response occurs when the urethra is irritated, and this is when a significant allergy is manifested. This allergic reaction is different from the usual common skin allergy or drug allergy, but is simply an acute response of the urethral mucosa to an undesirable stimulus. The cause of urethritis may also be caused by non-infectious reasons, such as inattention to private hygiene, underwear in a long-term wet condition, these conditions provide a good environment for bacteria to grow, so it can cause urethral inflammation, which leads to itching discomfort. The itchy urethra is caused by bacterial infections, so pay attention to avoid bacterial infections to prevent this kind of disease.
