It is used for treating damp phlegm and cold phlegm, coughing with excessive phlegm, phlegm-drinking palpitations (vertigo and palpitations caused by phlegm-drinking evil qi), wind-phlegm vertigo, phlegm-convulsive headache (headache caused by phlegm-evil obstructing qi), vomiting and regurgitation of stomach, and plumping up in the chest and epigastric region. It should not be used together with Chuanwu, Caowu and Poria. Poria has the efficacy of inducing diuresis, subduing swelling, seeping dampness, strengthening the spleen and tranquilizing the heart. It is used for treating edema, phlegm (pathological products formed by impaired water-liquid metabolism), diarrhea due to spleen deficiency (diarrhea caused by a weak spleen), palpitation (rapid heartbeat, often accompanied by panic), and insomnia. Caution should be exercised in cases of yin deficiency without dampness-heat, deficiency of cold and essence-slip, and qi deficiency and subsidence. However, it should be noted that the effectiveness of the drug tea drink is limited, not a substitute for medication to treat the disease, if there is discomfort, it is recommended to go to the hospital in a timely manner.
