Dokwo Sangsang Tang is composed of Dokwo, Cortex Eucommiae, Cortex Eucommiae, Cortex Pinnatifida, Cortex Sambucus, and Gentiana Macrophyllae, and has the efficacy of relieving paralysis and pain, dispelling wind-dampness, replenishing qi and blood and benefiting the liver and kidneys.
This formula is effective in relieving paralytic pain, dispelling wind-dampness, tonifying qi and blood, benefiting the liver and kidney, treating prolonged paralysis, deficiency of qi and blood, deficiency of the liver and kidney, with symptoms such as pain in the waist and knees, numbness and insensitivity of the limbs or unfavorable bending and stretching, palpitation (accelerated heartbeat often accompanied by panic), shortness of breath, fear of cold and preference for warmth, pale tongue with white fur, and thin and weak pulse. This formula is contraindicated in cases of paralysis belonging to damp-heat syndrome. Its adverse effects are not yet known, so please do not use the drug by yourself, and if you feel unwell, it is recommended to be treated by a healthcare professional.
