What are the causes of right intercostal pain

The causes of right intercostal pain are mostly caused by lesions of neighboring organs or tissues, which can be caused by lesions of thoracic organs, such as pleurisy, chronic lung inflammation, aortic aneurysm, etc. It can also be due to injuries of the spine and ribs, or senile vertebral osteoarthritis, deformities of the spine of the thoracic vertebral segments, and spinal tumors outside of the thoracic vertebral segments of the medulla compression of the nerve roots, which lead to the symptoms of intercostal neuralgia. Intercostal neuralgia can also occur when intercostal neuritis is caused by herpes zoster virus infection. Treatment mainly consists of active treatment of the primary disease, such as surgical resection of the tumor, anti-inflammatory therapy, anti-viral therapy and so on. If the pain is unbearable, pain relieving drugs can be given orally. If the effect is unsatisfactory, nerve block therapy or radiofrequency ablation can be given.
