Thoracic spine tumors are benign or malignant

Of all thoracic spine tumors, the proportion of benign tumors is slightly greater than the proportion of malignant tumors, but not overwhelmingly so. Although the proportion of benign is slightly more, not all thoracic spine tumors are benign, and benign tumors account for about 60-70% of all thoracic spine tumors. Among the tumors of the thoracic spine, hemangiomas of the thoracic spine are the most common. Hemangiomas are benign tumors that are caused by malformations of blood vessels in the vertebral body, and do not have obvious clinical symptoms. Among the malignant tumors of the thoracic spine, metastatic tumors account for the vast majority and are likely to develop in multiple vertebrae.
