What to look for in a calcified focus in the right lung

Calcified foci in the right lung should be noted for the type of pathology and the degree of progression of the disease. 1. Calcified foci in the right lung can be a kind of scar formed after inflammation of lung parenchyma, and there may be calcified foci remaining after inflammation heals; tuberculosis can also form fibrosis and calcification of the lungs, sputum culture of tuberculosis bacillus is needed to be performed, and anti-tuberculosis treatment should be carried out in time after the cause of the disease is clarified; calcification may also appear in lung cancer nodules, and we should be vigilant against the possibility of lung cancer when the calcified foci are in the nodules of the lungs. 2. Pay attention to the progress of the disease, if the disease is progressing, CT examination of lungs, bacterial culture and drug sensitivity test should be carried out in time, and antibiotic or anti-tuberculosis treatment should be given according to the type of bacteria; if the symptoms progress seriously, even affecting the respiratory function, anti-fibrotic treatment should be given in time; if there are malignant symptoms, surgery should be suggested as early as possible. It should be noted that, even for the calcified foci left after the disease is cured, attention should be paid to the protection of the respiratory tract, and regular review of CT to avoid recurrence of the disease.
