What is required for kidney matching

The conditions for kidney matching are twofold: one is the organ recipient and the other is the organ supplier. Conditions for organ recipients: i) the patient’s kidney function is in failure; ii) the patient should be older than two years; iii) not suffering from absolute contraindications, such as active hepatitis, severe vascular diseases, infectious diseases. Conditions of organ supplier: The supplier can include a cadaver or a living donor, and the living donor can be a healthy adult of similar age, both should share the following characteristics: 1. ABO blood type match; 2. Both are free from chronic infectious diseases; 3. No malignant tumor.
