Saddle-shaped uterus is mainly called saddle-shaped uterus because the bottom of the uterus is slightly sunken and saddle-shaped. No special treatment is usually needed. Saddle-shaped uterus is mainly caused by abnormal development of the uterus. If there is a history of miscarriage, surgical treatment of saddle-shaped uterus with hysteroscopy may be considered. The more common clinical abnormalities of uterine development are: double uterus, bicornuate uterus, longitudinal uterus as well as unicornuate uterus and stump uterus. Of these, a bicornuate uterus requires reconstructive surgery of the uterus if recurrent miscarriages occur. Stumpy uterus cannot be pregnant because it is prone to pregnancy rupture leading to hemorrhage or even life-threatening, and surgical removal of the stumpy uterus is required to avoid accidents if necessary. Most uterine growth abnormalities have no specific clinical manifestations and do not require special treatment.
