Etan is also known as apatinib mesylate tablets. It is the world’s first small molecule anti-angiogenic targeted drug that has been proven safe and effective in advanced gastric cancer, and is also the drug that significantly prolongs survival after standard chemotherapy fails in advanced gastric cancer. Meanwhile, Etan is also the only oral preparation among the targeted drugs for gastric cancer, which can effectively improve patients’ adherence to treatment and significantly reduce the cost of treatment. It mainly achieves anti-tumor effect by inhibiting the generation of new blood vessels in tumor tissues. Aitan is a domestically produced targeted drug, which was launched at the end of 2014, and it is currently used for gastroesophageal conjugate adenocarcinoma in addition to advanced gastric adenocarcinoma that has progressed or recurred after having received at least two previous systemic chemotherapies.
