Causes of Vulvar Warts

The presence of warts on the vulva can be caused by a variety of factors. Human papillomavirus (HPV) infections can cause warts on the vulva due to low-risk virus infections. Sexual transmission can also occur when a man with warts on his genitals transmits them to a woman through sexual intercourse. Indirect transmission from public baths, including toilet seats and hotel linens, can also cause warts on the vulva. If there are warts on the vulva, it is important to have an HPV test to determine if there is any HPV infection, and then have a laser procedure to help remove the warts, otherwise they will become more and more numerous, affecting the health of the body. Interferon treatment is also necessary to avoid persistent development.
