What’s with the inexplicable knee pain?

Inexplicable knee pain may be caused by physiological factors such as excessive exercise and cold wind stimulation of the knee joint, or it may be caused by pathologic factors such as degenerative diseases of the knee joint and autoimmune diseases.
1. Physiological factors: long-term running, mountain climbing and other sports may cause increased wear and tear in the knee joint and fatigue damage to the soft tissues around the joint, resulting in knee pain; long-term stimulation of the knee by cold wind will cause local blood circulation to slow down and metabolic products to accumulate, which may also cause knee pain.
2. Degenerative disease of the knee joint: it is often referred to as osteoarthropathy of the knee joint, the main pathological changes in the joint osteophytes and synovial hyperplasia, which can cause the joint in the process of movement or wear and tear increase, causing joint pain, swelling and functional activity is limited and so on.
3. Autoimmune diseases: Autoimmune diseases may also accumulate in the knee joint, causing knee pain. Autoimmune diseases may lead to pathologic changes such as narrowing of the joint space of the knee joint, excessive wear and tear of the cartilage, and deposition of immune complexes in the joint.
Inexplicable knee pain may also have other causes, it is recommended to go to the hospital in a timely manner, improve the examination to clarify the cause of the disease, under the guidance of the doctor to give targeted treatment or therapy.
