HCG doubled but the number is low?

HCG, also known as human chorionic gonadotropin, is secreted by gestational trophoblast cells in early pregnancy and the growth of the embryo can be initially assessed by monitoring the growth of HCG. If the HCG doubles every other day, the embryo is developing well. If the HCG doubles, but the HCG value is low, it means that the basal value is low at the first test. It does not matter, as long as the HCG doubles every other day, it indicates that the embryo is developing normally, and it is recommended to go to the hospital for ultrasound monitoring around 6-7 weeks of pregnancy. Another situation is that the HCG doubling is normal, but the progesterone value is low, suggesting that the luteal function of pregnancy is insufficient, it is recommended to supplement progesterone, and at the same time must be bed rest and regular re-check.
