Itchy ears may be caused by chronic diffuse otitis externa, fungal disease of the external auditory canal, eczema of the external ear, etc. According to the etiology and characteristics of the disease, general treatment can be taken, drug treatment, more applications: antibiotic hormone ointment, fluconazole ear drops, 3% boric acid solution, 1%-2% methyl violet liquid and other treatments. 1. Chronic diffuse otitis externa: there may be itching and a small amount of discharge from the external ear canal. Should avoid pulling out ears, swimming and other behaviors, the application of antibiotics and hormone combinations, pastes, or creams for local application. Such as mupirocin ointment, cortisone ointment and so on.
2. External auditory fungal disease: fungal infectious diseases of the external auditory canal. Aspergillus, Penicillium and Candida are common. It causes itchy and stuffy feeling in the ear, sometimes itchy, especially at night. It is necessary to clean up the fungal mass and secretion of the external auditory canal, and keep the external auditory canal dry. 1%-3% salicylic acid ethanol solution is applied to the ear, or fluconazole ear drops are applied to the ear for treatment.
3. Eczema of the outer ear: allergic inflammation of the auricle, external auditory canal and surrounding skin. It is mainly characterized by itching and polymorphic rash. First remove the cause of the disease, avoid sensitizing factors, avoid washing with soap and hot water. When there is more exudate, 3% boric acid solution can be used as wet compresses; those with less exudate or no exudate can be coated with 1%-2% methyl violet liquid, cortisone ointment and other treatments.
