A solitary 17mmx11mm solid nodule with hairy margins is serious if it is malignant and mostly not serious if it is benign.
Lung nodule is the imaging manifestation of various benign and malignant lung diseases such as pneumonia, misshapen tumor, lung cancer, etc. Single means that there is only one lesion, and the relatively large size of 17mmx11mm lung nodule with rough edges suggests that the nature of the nodule may be a malignant tumor, but pathological biopsy is needed to confirm the final diagnosis.
