CT examination only suggests thickening of the left adrenal gland, which is not necessarily a tumor. Left adrenal gland thickening is an imaging concept, and there may be many reasons for adrenal gland thickening, including endocrine abnormality, hereditary disease, etc., as well as the application of drugs and poor lifestyle may also lead to adrenal gland thickening (hyperplasia). If the growth rate is fast, more than 5~6mm, it can be considered as adenoma of adrenal gland, and the clinical significance needs to depend on the patient’s specific symptoms and adrenal glands to do endocrine examination with or without abnormality, such as aldosterone, catecholamine, cortisol hormone expression with or without change. However, the diagnosis of tumor can only be confirmed by clinical cytological examination and histological examination. If the adrenal gland is simply slightly enlarged and there are no uncomfortable symptoms, it is enough to follow the doctor’s instructions for follow-up and observation, and there is no need for further intervention, so it is suggested that the patient should not worry too much.
