If progesterone and human chorionic gonadotropin are checked in early pregnancy and both are low, it is considered that there are cases of embryonic arrest, preeclampsia, biochemical pregnancy, ectopic pregnancy, and so on. Therefore, in the early stages of pregnancy, if the examination of progesterone and human chorionic gonadotropin is low, it is recommended to combine with the results of ultrasound examination of the uterine adnexa to comprehensively determine the cause of the disease and then targeted treatment.
